Tyre SErvices

As the only point of contact with the road, your tyres need to carry the weight of the vehicle and passengers, absorb the impact of any bumps in the road and respond to braking, accelerating and steering.

Regularly inspecting and maintaining your Tyres is crucial for optimal performance and safety. Here’s a general guideline on how often you should check and change your Tyres:

  • Tyre Pressure: Check your Tyre pressure at least once a month, as improperly inflated Tyres can affect fuel efficiency, handling, and tread wear.

  • Tread Depth: Inspect the Tyre tread depth periodically. The legal minimum tread depth is 1.6 mm . To measure tread depth accurately, use a depth gauge or the “penny test.”

  • Tyre Rotation: Regularly rotate your Tyres to ensure even wear. As a general rule of thumb, perform a Tyre rotation every 5,000 to 8,000 miles.

  • Tyre Age: Even if your Tyres have sufficient tread depth, they can still deteriorate over time due to aging. As a guideline, consider replacing Tyres that are more than six years old, regardless of their apparent condition.

At KSB Auto we offer a wide range of tyres for all vehicles, from Economy to Premium, Seasonal (winter) to Semi-Slick (Track) Tyre fitting and balancing, and we promise to never be beaten on price, so please don't hesitate to contact us.
